Kara Ball is a nonprofit leader with extensive experience serving individuals impacted by homelessness, addiction, and limited access to healthcare. She currently serves as the Philanthropy and Community Engagement Coordinator for Baby Health, where she leads fundraising, donor engagement, community partnerships, grant development, and strategic communications to expand access to quality healthcare for children and families across Central Kentucky. Previously, Kara served as Chief Development Officer at Isaiah House, where she led strategic fundraising and community engagement efforts to expand access to addiction recovery services across Kentucky. Her career has been shaped by work in some of the region's most complex and underserved environments. Her experience also includes roles with Appalachian Regional Healthcare, where she developed a deep understanding of the cultural nuances and systemic challenges within Appalachian communities. She has also held leadership roles in long term care, managing an Alzheimer's and dementia care facility, where she strengthened her commitment to compassionate, patient centered leadership. Throughout her career, Kara has been driven by a mission to bridge gaps in care and create sustainable solutions for vulnerable populations. She brings a strategic, solutions oriented approach to her work, grounded in real world experience and a deep respect for the individuals and communities she serves. Known for her ability to build meaningful relationships, secure philanthropic support, and drive meaningful impact, Kara is passionate about advancing initiatives that not only address immediate needs but also create lasting, long-term change.
